Culture

I have had discussions about this a lot lately at school, mostly because people do not really think about the big picture. Well, in my opinion at least. I have always thought that one must know the history to know why thingsare like they are. We have been talking about culture in means of how different cultures and ways of life impact making business globally.
Religions have lot to do with cultures, even if the culture is not very religious anymore. Western culture is definately christian culture. Why? The base of our culture and way of life is christianity and it’s ways back in the year sword and stone. It’s the christian values and morals that define what is not acceptable and how we react to different things. Even if you are not religious, you will live by the rules of the society you are part of. Sure, you might rebellion by doing or not doing somethings, but in general you are living and breathing the way your people are. This all has more to do with religion than race, for example. The color of one’s skin and physique and characteristics have nothing to do with all this. To make it over simple, I have more in common with the Ethiopian class-mate of mine than with the German class-mate..

Oooo….now these post are really starting to get interesting! 😉
I can’t believe you’re driving a cab! That should be great blog fodder! 🙂
Oh, I’ve done that for few years after I quit working in restaurants. I really do like driving cab, but it’s not exactly what I want to do ALL the time.. 😉
I’m calling you then when I need a cab.
As for religion… Hmm interesting topic yes, yet I do not believe in it. Well religion that is.
Anyway I will wait for more:)
