Been there, done that

So, now I’m back at home.

We didn’t have interview, even thoguh that I thought we’d have. There were this test and then an essay to write. I couldn’t believe that it was all! I mean, I was expecting this inch thick pile of paper as a test and then that the essay would take lot of time.. took me about an hour to do the test, go through it twice to check it and write the essay. And I wasn’t being hasty, I did it as well as I could..

Ok, it wasn’t easy in any means, but I thought I wasn’t prepared well enough. The math part was easy for me and the essay was easy. I’ve always been good at essays. lol

Anyway, I’m happy with my work and now I just wait to know if that was enough or were there too many who did it better than I was able.

Now it’s time to go for a walk with the dogs and start working on math and fysics since I have tech tests on saturday morning..

I’m right here, nicely 30min early, found the right class-room and all. Yes, I did remember to take my writing gear with me and the invitation letter too. Just to find out I only need id-card. Better safe than sorry, don’t you think?
I am not happy with my reading of the preparation material, but I will manage. There’s lot of people reading the material, for example this one desperate looking girl. If she looks any more desperate, I will tell her it’s going to go well. I mean, she’s about to cry..
I know I will get more and more nervous every minute until I get into the class and get the papers in front of me. From that moment I’m in this calm place, just me and my paper. It’s always been like that, but this time it feels that I have built up the nervousness lot later, but total amount is same as always. This means that I’m bit more nervous to the end.
You know the feeling you get when you’re anticipating something really hard? The feeling that no matter what you do, the time crawls slowly like weed smoking snail. You read every page in Readers’ Digest and it only took 5 minutes. And you studied every picture really hard..
Well, I did start my usual time-killing thing, I started to observe my surroundings and people. Most of the fellow nerve wrecks look at the clock like they were waiting for second coming and some look like it’s armageddon they’re waiting for. Unfortunately that’s the most there’s happening, besides nervous chattering and giggles between friends. I hope I get bored soon, then I wouldn’t be nervous myself. Thank good it’s good kind of nervousness, anticipation and excitement.

Reading and changing plan

It’s about 8:30am and I’m up, reading. i’m trying to get everything read one more time. Well, it’s time to go after that anyway.. Yes, I have just over 2 hours before I need to leave for the exams and interview. I’m feeling confident and nervous at the same time. I assume that’s a good thing. lol

I also made a decision last night. I did some calculations and ended up changing my mobile operator. It was easy decicion after I did some research. At the moment I have two numbers and two sim cards from one operator. The 1st is for talking and messaging and the second is my data sim that’s in my Nokia 9500 Communicator. I will still keep the Communicator sim with the old operator, but I will remove the data service from the plan. This way I will have no monthly fee, only for calls I make, and since I do not make any calls, it’s just right!

I did order new sim with old number and a plan that covers my normal use. I did check my history and the minutes in the new plan are just right for me and the messages included in the monthly fee are around the number I send normally! There is some room for more calls and messages, but the monthly fee is still cheaper than with my old plan. I also got data package for the plan and all these combined PLUS the new phone included, I SAVE around 6e per month!! That’s amazing. So, now I’m waiting for the phone that doesn’t exactly meet my needs, but will work. lol I did some adjusting to my gadget list and by selling the Nokia 9500 and getting new PDA I will be able to fill the void.

So that’s about it for now, it’s back to reading. I will let you know how it went when I’m out of there in the afternoon.
