The keyboard layout is bit different from the 9500 Communicator and that has resulted in few typos and unintended choices. Also the new placement for the navigation “arrows” is bit confusing after the 9500 position, but the new place is better when one gets familiar with it.

Right as I’m typing this, I am moving all the data from the 9500 to E90 with a moving software that is available throught the “Download” icon in E90. I did just switch bluetooth on in 9500 and did run the program in E90 and went from there. The software sends a program through bluetooth to 9500 and you need to install it. Then run it on both phones, do the connection rituals and select what you want to transfer to new phone. I did opt to move everything in the list: galleries, contacts, recent calls, messages and so on. I am pleased that there is something this easy available for the information transfer since I assume all 9500 owners have lot of stuff in their phones and moving everything via computer is a pain in the ass. If only there was a way to sync all the messages and contacts with my Samsung Z540 too!! Having two phones that are from different manufacturers make these little things bit hard, but Nokie did not have anything close to the Z540 in all the qualities that matter to me, stylish clamshell design being one of the most important things. And I had been really disappointed with Nokia phones earlier, that’s why I went for Samsung some five years ago. Yes, even the 9500 was far from being what I needed and wanted -> it froze for good twice and I had to take it to service. First time took three days and second one only 35 minutes. It was a software problem both times.. ..and 9500 has been the most stable Nokia I’ve had since 6110i!! ..and I used to change both my phones every 8-10 months..

To continue off-topic, I have been thinking about getting Nokia when I replace the Samsung Z540. I just have to go see if N-series has anything that appeals to me as a whole package. N76 looks nice and N95 specs are cool. N95 would overlap E90 with few features and it costs too much partly because of that, so I’m most likely not going to get it..

Now I just need my new laptop and see how Nokia PCSuite works with Vista.. ;)

EDIT: It was obvious that the 512Mb microSD card was too small, so I went and got myself 2Gb card. Let’s see how long it takes before that’s full. lol
