They were ok. The Peugeot’s driver admitted and they did the paper work without any drama. They even laughed about it!

It’s only two weeks left in this office and it feels great! I’ve got 3 days off and that means I don’t have too many days at the office! Yippee!! Then It’s about week and a half to just chill and have fun.. Yup, I’m excited about it.
The shitty thing is that my back has been giving me hard time for about a week and today it’s killing me! It hurts to sit and since I have to sit, it hurts even more and then it hurts to stand and walk.. I might have to go to the doctor, but then I’d get at least week of sick leave.. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it would mean I will not be able to finish this project I’m working on. Yup, it would be leaft hanging since I would be gone before I leave. And I don’t want that. I need to see how it goes on from here and work from that. I wouldn’t mind having a week of doing nothing and staying at home, but it would really bother me if I had to leave some work unfinished when I leave.. Shitty situation..
I’m also bummed because as long as my back is hurting, I cannot go to the gym and do my new excellent workout! And that’s even more disturbing than work things!! My back has been just as sore and painfull before and after the last workout I did and It’s getting worse at work when I have to sit. I do 10min stretching and walking every 20min, but It’s gotten to the point where it doesn’t help.. I mean, I spend about 25% of my working time to trying to keep the pain away..

Last night I was at the gym to do my new excercising routine through for real. I do have to adjust couple weights up! Amazing! Upper-body weights are just right: I just barely finished the routine with all the repeats and despite that, my body isn’t too sore. Of course you should have bit sore body after excercising, but I was afraid that the new beginning would really make my body scream. I was just abotu to go to the gym again tonight, but though I’d take it easy and go there tomorrow morning. It’s good to take the start calmly so I won’t kill the enthusiasm because I over did it all..
When we rode back home with out bicycles, my arms were so loose and exhausted that it felt funny on bike, I had to concentrate to stay on straight line. That’s just when I know I did enough and not too little and not too much/hard. Kewl.
Oh, and I’m not going to spend money on new bicycle at the moment. Even though there’s sale on 2006 modes, I still have great bike. It’s only 2 years old and I haven’t used it much. I just need to do some adjusting and it’s all good. Of course the front wheel is bit croocked after some one tried to steal it, but it’s not too bad. I can spot it, but nobody has felt anything weird while riding the bike. I will be ready to replace it, but I’d like to get another flat black/matte wheel to replace the old one. Yes, it’s cool with those black wheels and shiny polished wires. lol I know, but I do like to have bike that looks cool to me and works fine on top of that!

It’s beautifull outside: sun shining, warm, summer at it’s best. I’ve got 2 weeks left at this office and then it’s 2 weeks of freetime before studies begin. I KNOW it’s going to snow those two weeks I’m off, at least it’s raining and cold..

Last night I was at the gym to go through my training routine with the personal-trainer. I have to say that she had done good job! Of vourse we did adjust the weights and all for the beginning, the start level. It’s nice, full-body routine for starters, to get my body receiving (nerves open, so to speak) and to get me going. Later we’ll do whole new routines, one for upper and one for lower body only, you know the drill if you’ve been training.
They have Polar Matrix machines in there, the bike, cross-trainer, rowing bench and all those. I think they’re cool, since if you have Polar heart-rate meter (they call it “Athletics’ Wrist Computer”..), the machines are compatible and you get your rate and all the info from your gadget to the Polar Matrix machine. Isn’t that cool or what? For most of the weight training I will use free-weights or semi-machines. I do hate working-out with most of the machines, so it’s great they have choice at the gym.
I did go through a full training last night and surprisingly my body isn’t that sore. Of course I do feel there’s something going on in the muscles, but it’s not pain. Kewl. Tonight I’m going to go for a warm-up and heart-rate training with the Polaris machines. In my routine it’s ok to do that every-day, but for now only every second day is for training.
I am excited about this, more than ever before. I have been training when I was younger, but this time it feels lot more “my thing” than ever before and I hope I can get a good start to keep it feeling like that. ..and I hope I never get too cray about it.. I don’t want to end up eating from bright colored paper bags and spending 20min in solarium every day, before training.
And then something else, but still connected to this new life of the Home-Athlete D-Ma: I did order a iPod.. Yes, I have been old skool and using Sony’s portable MD player (until young Klementina ate the headphones..), but I decided it was time to get smaller gadget with more capacity.. So I went for iPod Nano 2Gb, black of course. It’s small, but not too small, my car supports iPod and it looks cool. And it was a bargain, only 159e when it’s around 200e in most places. Comes with headphones, neck band and a.. SOCK! yes, iPod sock! lol 2Gb is enough to store 4-5 different playlists for training and songs for everyday life.
On top of this I heard someone thinking about new bicycle, but have to see how it goes. Even though 2006 models are in sale right now, for example Kona Kula Deluxe is -30% and GT I-Drive 5 is also -35%, I might not spend my money on them. THey’re great bikes for my needs, maybe even better than I really need. I also have great Crescent bike at home even thoguh it’s not just what I want. I bought it on sale too. In fact it was last bike of it’s kind in the shop and I got -60% from the list price.. Yes, it was same price range at the day as the Kona and GT I mentioned earlier..
Excercicing is expensive, as you can see. On top of all this I had to get new gym-towel, water bottle, shirt and shorts. I do have one set, but it’s better to have a spare if I want to go training when they’re in washing machine! lol
